On October 19, representatives of civil society organizations and the CBD Alliance (including Natural Justice) peacefully protested market-based conservation as delegates entered the venue of the 10th Conference of the Parties (COP 10) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Their messages of "Mother Earth is not for sale", "No to the greed economy", and "Yes to rights, equity, and justice" were well-received by delegates, many of whom stopped to offer support and take photos with the signs.
